Between Frontiers is a deeply personal and reflective short film. It explores the act of crossing borders, not just as a physical movement, but as a profound emotional and political experience. Set during a quiet train journey from Wales to England, Noah reflects on his own freedom of movement while holding space for the millions who are forced to flee their homes due to war, persecution, and climate disasters. Through intimate narration, global context, and poetic realism, the film becomes a meditation on privilege, resilience, and shared humanity. With over 123 million people displaced worldwide, Between Frontiers reminds us that every crossing carries a story, and that those stories deserve to be seen, heard, and remembered. This film is not only a reflection on global displacement, but also a personal expression by an artist who has experienced it firsthand, created to raise awareness and awaken empathy in those who may never be forced to leave home.

Multiplicity is a six-month mentorship and exhibition project designed to support artists of colour in Wales in exploring themes of identity, belonging, and creative expression. Led by artist Jasmine Violet and curated by Ffion Rhys, the project is part of the Perspective(s) Initiative, a collaboration between Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Arts Council of Wales, and Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales. My Role in Multiplicity As the Director & Filmmaker for Multiplicity, I was responsible for capturing the essence of this transformative project, documenting the journeys of the artists, the creative mentorship process, and screening it in the exhibition. Directed & filmed a 45-minute documentary, showcasing the stories of artists of colour in Wales. Captured workshops, artistic development, and personal reflections, highlighting themes of identity, belonging, and creative expression. Worked closely with the project leads, curators, and mentors, ensuring an authentic representation of the project’s vision. Edited and structured the film for exhibition, making it a key part of the Multiplicity showcase at Aberystwyth Arts Centre. This documentary not only tells the story of the artists but also challenges traditional narratives in the arts, celebrating diverse voices and perspectives. As the director and filmmaker, I captured the journey of these artists, documenting the impact of artistic mentorship and collaboration. Through workshops, creative development, and dialogue, Multiplicity provides a platform to challenge traditional narratives in the arts and celebrate the diverse communities shaping Wales today.

Tracing Memory and Landscape: The Art of Sasha Kingston In collaboration with Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales This documentary film offers an intimate exploration of the artistic journey of Sasha Kingston, a Penarth-based artist whose work is deeply influenced by the Welsh landscape, geological textures, and the traces of time. Created in collaboration with Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales, the film delves into her unique artistic process, where she transforms paper into layered, textural compositions using paint, print, graphite, and stitch. Through studio footage, archival references, and breathtaking visuals of Wales’ coastal environment, Tracing Memory and Landscape reveals how Sasha’s work bridges the personal and the historical, drawing inspiration from geology, heritage, and everyday imprints left in nature and urban spaces. This film celebrates the intersection of art, memory, and place, offering viewers a deeper understanding of how materiality and mark-making connect us to history. Whether you are passionate about contemporary Welsh art, intrigued by the connections between landscape and creativity, or simply looking for an inspiring visual story, this collaboration with Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales brings to life the power of artistic expression rooted in the land.

This powerful film, created as part of the Parch Pamwe Anti-Bullying Project, explores the impact of respect, kindness, and inclusion in tackling bullying. Featuring a diverse range of voices, creative storytelling, and contributions from young participants, the film brings to life the message that "Respect Changes Everything. Through original storytelling, music, and visual art, the film captures the journey of young creatives as they collaborate to raise awareness about the effects of bullying and the importance of standing up for one another. Supported by professional filmmakers and guided by creative workshops, this project has empowered young people to express their experiences and solutions through art and film. With a behind-the-scenes documentary by Noah Bakour, the film also highlights the dedication, teamwork, and creativity that went into bringing this vision to life.

This documentary aims to explore the origins of The Vietnamese Coffee House, the craftsmanship behind its signature brews, and the personal stories of those who have shaped its success. By delving into the intersection of history, culture, and coffee-drinking traditions, I hope to create a visually captivating and culturally significant film that highlights the essence of this cherished establishment.

Finding Peace by the Ocean is a film about stillness, connection, and the way our surroundings shape our spiritual practice. At its core, it is a conversation—between land and sea, between my friend Roger and me, and between different ways of understanding meditation. Through rich visual imagery of nature, the film explores how the rhythms of the natural world intertwine with personal and spiritual reflection. Roger, an American who once studied meditation in India and now lives in rural Cornwall, carries a deep understanding of spiritual practices. He incorporates meditation into his daily life in a way that is shaped by the landscape around him. His connection to nature—especially the ocean—mirrors my own experiences with faith and contemplation. As a Muslim, I found parallels between his practice and my own, revealing how different spiritual traditions often share a fundamental pursuit of peace and presence. This film is important now because we live in a time of noise and distraction. It invites audiences to slow down, to listen, and to consider how the natural world can offer guidance and clarity. It’s not just a portrait of one person, but of a place, a mindset, and the universal search for inner stillness. For me, Finding Peace by the Ocean is a way to translate a feeling into film—to capture the quiet beauty of the Cornish coastline and the philosophy of a man who has made it his home. It’s about how landscapes shape us, how we bring our beliefs into our surroundings, and how moments of deep reflection can be found in the simplest things—the sound of waves, the wind through the trees, the silence between words.

What does it mean to belong? How do places, buildings, and urban spaces shape our identities and collective memories? This film explores the remarkable work of Haf Weighton, a South Wales-based textile artist who uses stitch, paint, and print to document the evolving landscapes of Wales and beyond. Haf’s journey from being an inner-city art teacher in London to becoming a full-time artist is one of deep transformation. Returning to Wales in 2014, she found herself witnessing dramatic changes in Cardiff—once-thriving family businesses disappearing, historic docks redeveloped into Cardiff Bay, and a renewed presence of the Welsh language in public spaces. These changes became the foundation of her art, where she seeks to capture the emotional significance of the built environment and the personal stories that exist within it. Her work extends beyond architecture—it is about people, migration, and belonging. She collaborates with refugee and asylum-seeker communities, using art as a universal language to foster connection and understanding. Through her large-scale stitched works, including pieces commissioned for hospitals and public spaces, Haf brings together the past and present, weaving a narrative of resilience and identity.
